We are expanding our leadership team and are seeking an experienced, people-focused, and sales-driven Team Leader to support our growing agency in Victoria, BC. What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
Lead & Inspire Your Team
- Coach, mentor, and support a team of Travel Consultants, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous growth.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, coaching sessions, and performance check-ins to support individual and team success.
- Provide ongoing training in sales techniques, product knowledge, service standards, and system efficiencies.
Drive Sales & Customer Growth
- Lead the team in achieving monthly and annual sales targets across flights, packages, tours, cruises, insurance, and ancillary revenue.
- Monitor performance metrics, identify opportunities, and implement strategies to increase conversions, repeat business, and referrals.
- Support consultants with complex bookings, pricing strategies, troubleshooting, and client escalations.
Support Exceptional Customer Experience
- Uphold and model the highest standards of service, ensuring every client feels valued, supported, and excited about their travel journey.
- Resolve service challenges with professionalism and client-first thinking.
- Maintain and elevate Westshore Travel Centre’s reputation for personalized, community-focused service.
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily workflows, scheduling, lead assignment, and booking volume distribution.
- Ensure compliance with agency processes, documentation standards, and supplier policies.
- Collaborate with management on marketing promotions, supplier partnerships, and team engagement initiatives.
Champion Professional Development
- Identify skills gaps, encourage industry training opportunities, and facilitate ongoing education (GDS refreshers, destination certs, supplier programs).
- Support new hire onboarding and training.
- Promote a positive, collaborative, and growth-oriented team culture.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
- 3–5+ years of Leadership experience in retail travel, corporate travel, or a related tourism sales environment.
Leadership or team-lead experience in travel sales environment is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and contributing to revenue growth.
- Strong coaching and people-leadership skills, with experience in motivating and developing team members.
- Solid understanding of global destinations, suppliers, and industry trends; personal travel experience is a strong asset.
- Strong Proficiency with GDS systems (preferably Sabre) and strong technical/administrative skills.
- Exceptional communication, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work full-time, including weekends and some holidays, depending on business needs.

Compensation
Competitive salary of $80,000 + commission and performance bonuses (average earnings: $95,000-$130,000
(Earnings vary based on leadership experience, team performance, and agency growth.)
Location
On-site at our Westshore office in Langford, BC.
