What You’ll Be Doing:
As the Landscape Ontario Workforce Development (WFD) team works to grow and sustain our programs, you will take the marketing of the programs to the next level. This includes the government-funded GROW and Apprenticeship programs, as well as other workforce development offerings.
Working collaboratively with the Director of Communications and Workforce Development leadership, you'll develop the marketing strategy for the portfolio and take ownership of tactical execution while working closely with the WFD and communications teams. You'll plan and deliver integrated campaigns that build awareness, attract participants, employers and apprentices, and support program, recruitment and grant objectives.
You'll carry out the day-to-day marketing of the programs, creating compelling content and promotional materials, coordinating campaigns across multiple channels, managing the Workforce Development web presence, measuring campaign performance and continually identifying opportunities to improve results. Throughout, you'll ensure all communications align with Landscape Ontario's brand standards and funder requirements.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Marketing Planning and Campaign Management• Serve as the marketing lead for the Workforce Development portfolio
- Collaborate with Workforce Development and Communications to develop marketing strategies for the Workforce Development portfolio.
- Translate marketing strategies into tactical plans that support program, recruitment and grant objectives.
- Execute and optimize marketing campaigns across web, email, digital, print and social media channels, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within approved budgets, and in alignment with Landscape Ontario's brand standards and funder requirements.
- Develop and maintain an integrated marketing calendar to coordinate and track activities.
- Monitor market trends, audience insights and campaign performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure marketing initiatives are aligned, coordinated and effectively delivered.
Digital Marketing and Website Management• Own the Workforce Development web presence, including content planning, website updates, user experience (UX), SEO and conversion optimization.
- Monitor website performance and recommend improvements that increase engagement and support recruitment objectives.
- Work closely with the Communications team and web development resources to continuously improve the user experience.
Content Development and Brand Management• Create compelling marketing and communications materials, digital assets and promotional content that support participant recruitment, employer engagement and program awareness.
- Develop content across websites, email, print and social media platforms.
- Work with Communications team members to ensure activities are scheduled appropriately within Landscape Ontario’s broader editorial and social media schedules.
- Ensure all materials align with Landscape Ontario's brand standards and funder branding requirements.
Analytics and Performance• Monitor campaign performance using analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Evaluate campaign effectiveness and recommend improvements based on performance data and audience insights.
- Prepare reports demonstrating progress toward recruitment, engagement and grant objectives.
- Provide information required for reporting on ministry-assigned KPIs as needed.
Collaboration• Work closely with Workforce Development program teams and the Communications team to coordinate marketing initiatives, provide marketing advice and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
- Respond to general marketing-related inquiries and provide communications support to Workforce Development as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Public Relations or a related discipline.
- Five or more years of progressive marketing and communications experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns.
- Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills.
- Experience creating content across digital, web, print, email and social media platforms.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, SEO and website content management.
- Experience measuring campaign performance using analytics and KPIs.
- Strong project management, organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proven proficiency with email Marketing programs ( eg.Hubspot)
- Comfortable working with Google Workspace.
- Experience with Google Analytics and marketing analytics tools is an asset.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar design software is a strong asset.
About this position:
- Full-time, fixed-term contract position through June 29, 2027, with the possibility of renewal.
- Salary: $78,000 - $83,000, including three week’s annual vacation, personal time off, and health benefits.
- Reports to the Director of Workforce Development and works with the Director of Communications, GROW and Apprenticeship programs staff, Workforce Development leadership.
- Hybrid work environment with flexibility; based out of our office in Milton, ON.
- Occasional travel within Ontario may be required.
