The Designer is responsible for assisting with the creation and development of new print designs, supporting the industrial team in building and maintaining a standing design portfolio of leading trends for CGT’s pool, decking, and marine divisions.

Receives design requests and incorporate feedback to deliver high-quality designs and artwork through a combination of traditional artistic mediums and Adobe Creative Suite
- Participates in the planning for new design development
- Supports Industrial Design with the preparation of samples and maintaining design archives
- Conceptualizes and communicates design concepts to the Design, Sales, and Marketing teams
- Demonstrates the ability to blend creativity with practical specifications to execute design solutions that reflect the project goals of the Industrial team
- Contributes to multiple projects simultaneously
- Able to switch priorities with new or developing information
- Assist with the creation of marketing assets to support new and existing designs, could include sample books, mock-ups, brochure images, video, and graphics for social media in support of the marketing team
Education:
-
Bachelor or equivalent in Design, Visual Arts, or Media Arts
Required Skills & Experience:
- Three+ years of design studio or related experience
- Must have strong experience in Adobe Creative Suite (photoshop, illustrator, etc.)
- Highly creative - experience using artistic mediums such as painting, sketching, drawing
- Experience creating artwork for print processes like gravure, flexo, screen printing, or intaglio is an asset
- Ability to manage and support multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills – listening, clarifying, understanding, speaking and facilitating
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Working Environment:
- Usually work in an office, plant and lab environment, but the mission of the organization may sometimes take them to non-standard workplaces
- Standard work week, but additionally may work evening, weekends, and additional hours to accommodate activities and priorities. This position is not eligible for overtime pay
- Domestic and International travel may be required – must have valid driver’s licence
- Generally requires low physical demands
