Opportunity
Under the direction of the Claims Manager, the Claims Adjuster is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving claims across multiple lines of insurance. This role focuses on delivering timely, fair, and accurate claim outcomes while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Claims Adjuster works closely with policyholders, agents, brokers, vendors, and other stakeholders to support a positive claims experience and effective resolution.
How You Will Make a Difference
- Manage a portfolio of claims by reviewing coverage, setting appropriate reserves, and negotiating fair settlements
- Conduct site visits and inspections as required, documenting damage through photos, notes, and detailed reports
- Communicate clearly and professionally with policyholders and third parties to gather information and explain coverage and claims decisions
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and other service providers to support the claim investigation and resolution process
- Maintain accurate and timely file documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards
- Handle sensitive claim information with a high degree of confidentiality and exercise discretion when managing case files and communications
- Identify opportunities to improve personal efficiency and support continuous improvement within the claims team
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of claims adjusting experience, ideally handling more than one line of business.
- Post-secondary education in Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- CIP designation or active pursuit considered an asset.
- Solid understanding of insurance policies, claims procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with claims management systems, estimating software, and digital field tools.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel as needed.
- Valid driver’s license required.

Salary Range (but not limited to): $65,000-85,000 annually
Salary for the candidate will be determined, taking into consideration several factors including experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc.
