Office & Bookkeeping Coordinator
Southern Interior Construction Association (SICA)
Kelowna, BC
Full-Time | $50,000–$60,000

We’re looking for someone who can keep things running smoothly behind the scenes while also being a strong, welcoming presence for our members.

This role blends accounting, office coordination, and front-line member support. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day and takes pride in being the person others rely on to keep things organized, accurate, and on track.

About SICA

The Southern Interior Construction Association represents the construction industry across the Southern Interior of BC. Our members build the communities we live in, and we support them through advocacy, education, and connection.

We’re a small, collaborative team that moves quickly and is focused on growth, innovation, and delivering real value to our members.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping Support

Process accounts payable and receivable, including member dues, sponsorships, and event revenue
Prepare and issue invoices, receipts, and monthly financial records
Manage bank deposits, reconciliations, and petty cash tracking
Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up on payments in a professional manner

Membership & Event Integration

Coordinate with the Membership team to ensure alignment between CRM and financial records
Process membership transactions, seals, statutory declarations, and related services
Support event registration, financial tracking, and occasional on-site logistics

Office & Administrative Support

Manage office supplies, equipment, and inventory with a proactive approach
Coordinate documents and information between Kelowna and Kamloops locations
Handle mail, shipping, and receiving
Maintain organized records and ensure office systems are easy to navigate
Support calendar coordination for senior leadership

Reception & Member Experience

Act as the first point of contact for members and visitors, both in person and virtually
Answer and direct calls and emails efficiently and professionally
Provide accurate information and support to member inquiries
Contribute to a welcoming, professional environment that reflects SICA’s member-first approach

Who You Are

Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership over your work
Comfortable managing multiple priorities while keeping things accurate and on track
Confident using technology, including accounting software, CRMs, and Microsoft Office
Approachable, professional, and strong in communication
A team player who is willing to step in and support where needed

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or office administration
Experience with Sage 50 or similar accounting software
Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook
Experience in a membership-based or non-profit organization is an asset

Compensation

$50,000–$60,000 depending on experience
