POOL & HOT TUB TECHNICIAN (PART-TIME, 3 DAYS/WEEK) – $27-$30/HR + WINTER SEASON BONUS
Apres Spas & Pools is seeking a motivated Pool & Hot Tub Maintenance / Repair Technician to join our growing team as soon as possible.
We are a locally owned and family-operated company serving Whistler, Pemberton, and the Sea to Sky Corridor. We take pride in quality workmanship, excellent customer service, and creating opportunities for dedicated team members to grow within the company.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, solving problems, and working independently while providing excellent service to clients. We are looking for someone seeking a permanent part-time position with a consistent weekly schedule.
Compensation
- $25.00/hour training wage for the first two weeks/duration of training
- $27.00–$30.00/hour upon successful completion of training, dependant on experience
- Advanced repair work compensated at higher rates ($35.00+ hour)
- Health benefits available after three months for employees averaging 35+ hours per week (position has potential to grow into F/T with the right candidate)
Winter Season Retention Bonus
- Full-time employees who remain employed through the winter season (December 1 – April 30) are eligible for a $1,200 retention bonus, paid at the end of the season
- Part-time employees are eligible for a prorated retention bonus based on hours worked during the winter season, paid April 30
Schedule
- Sunday, Monday & Tuesday
- 8-hour shifts
- Approximately 24 hours per week
- Start times typically between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM (Can start earlier upon request)
- Additional hours may be available during peak season
Responsibilities
- Maintain residential, luxury, and commercial hot tubs and pools
- Test and balance pool and spa water chemistry
- Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance
- Assist with troubleshooting and repair of pool and hot tub equipment
- Safely handle pool and spa chemicals
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while representing the company
Requirements
- Valid Canadian work authorization
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driving record
- Bondable with a clear criminal record
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Self-motivated, punctual, and capable of working independently without direct supervision
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift and carry equipment, chemicals, and supplies
- Comfortable working outdoors year-round
- Appropriate outdoor workwear (boots, rain gear, etc.)
Assets (Not Required)
- Previous pool or hot tub experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Plumbing, construction, HVAC, irrigation, electrical, or general trades experience
- CSPO, PSP, Fraser Health Pool Operator Certification, or similar industry training

Training in repairs and advanced maintenance will be provided once proficiency in regular technician duties has been demonstrated. Repair work and specialized service calls are compensated at a higher hourly rate.
Applicants must currently reside within the Sea to Sky Corridor or be prepared to relocate before starting.
