We seek our next Administrative/Broker Assistant, to work alongside our broker group. The successful candidate must hold a Canadian Residency or Permanent Residency Status. Priority hiring preferential to Indigenous Canadians in Nunavut, Northwest Territories and the Yukon

This is an IN PERSON POSITION. Work must be completed at the physical location(s) . There is no option to work remotely.
Position: Full-time/ permanent, 35-40hrs/week, possibly Saturdays for 5 or less hours (1 vacancy)
Shift: Day
Language: Clear, Concise Written and Spoken Canadian English
Education: College or other certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to brokers and management
- Greet, assist, and direct walk-in clients to their broker or service representative
- Answer telephone, transferring calls, taking, and forwarding messages
- Follow established office procedures, policies, and routines
- Risk and need assessments of clients
- Data entry to Power Broker management system, Applied and Powerhouse systems
- Data entry and transpose data to excel and multiple Insurance Company applications in a time sensitive manner
- Data entry of completed underwriting packages to Insurance Company portals
- Prepare and Issue Legal Certificates Under Broker Direction, such as pink slips, COI's
- Advise Brokers of Insurer requests for additional information
- Arrange, co-ordinate and possibly attend meetings and appointments, etc.
- Answer and respond to email inquiries without the aid of AI - It is expected that only natural Human Intelligence will be used while interacting with clients and colleagues at Avid.
- Order office supplies and maintain inventory
- Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents as requested
- Other duties as may arise from time to time which may be assigned to this position
Qualifications:
Administrative Degree with Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Administrative Role; May consider over 1 year "Canadian" work experience, depending on the industry and experience gained. OR CAIB 11 and at least 1 year experience in a Broker or Broker Admin role.
