Primary Purpose of the Position
The main purpose of this position leaf and champion to preserve the functional condition of all aspects in Laval, such as scheduling repairs, maintaining the premises and equipment, and developing preventative maintenance procedures, facilities’ capital projects, including utilities, i.e air, water, 110 electricity or as requested.
Specific Duties
· Responsible for deployment of daily lineup, including updates on “To Do list”.
· Responsible for making sure all maintenance personnel complete their tasks in a good time and manner. Lead, and mentor all maintenance personnel, including approving all tasks completed to meet the workmanship requirements.
· Responsible for making disciplinary recommendations to the plant manager for all employees in the maintenance department.
· Responsible for leading all mechanical maintenance on hydraulic & pneumatic systems on associated equipment including all daily, weekly monthly, semiannual routine inspections of both facilities.
· Champion all preventative maintenance activities at both plants.
· Responsible for developing and maintaining the key parts lists for all equipment for both [plants 1 & 2.
· Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary at multiple sites plant 1 & 2.
· Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues.
· Repairing machines, equipment and troubleshooting structures as necessary.
· Primary and leadto machinery breakdowns at both facilities.
· Contribute ideas and input to support continuous improvement within the facility.
· Monitor equipment performance/status and document and/or communicate potential problems or areas of improvement.
· Responsible for leading small and medium Welding and fabrication to support production modifications.
· Responsible for the planning and scheduling of all maintenance activities at both facilities.
· Balancing priority jobs that arise while committing to safety standards and making sure to reach manufacturing and production timelines.
· Lead projects by planning by assisting with the growth of the company while still hitting standards of production.
· Responsible for all equipment to meet OSHA standard including PHS&R recommendation and completion.
· Responsible for ordering all parts and supplies required for the maintenance department to run effectively.
Required Training, Knowledge, and Experience
College diploma in industrial electrician or industrial mechanic millwright OR;
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the following:
- servicing and maintaining, troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment issues.
- PLC and robotic programming and trouble shooting.
- team and project management.
- Purchasing.
- continuous improvements.
- Metal fabrication
Working Conditions and Demands of the Position
· Day shift work – 40-45 hours per week
· Primary point of contact for after-hours calls related to equipment or facilities repairs.
· Must be available to support after-hours calls for maintenance emergencies.
· Standing most of the day and some desk activities for ordering material, outsourcing services & planning.
· Lifting 10- 20 kilograms.
· Repetitive movement is required.
· Operating company vehicles as required.
· Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment, including monitoring the quality and quantity of work being completed by all maintenance employees.
· Deploying and supervising all preventative maintenance activities are being completed correctly and on time.
· Handling repairs and maintenance internally and outsourcing.
· Experience with Automotive assembly equipment and standards
· Overseeing contractors when outsourcing repairs is necessary.
· Diagnosing mechanical, pneumatic and electrical l issues and correcting them
· Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
Required Training, Knowledge and Experience
· 10 years of experience servicing and maintaining automotive equipment.
· Operating motorized vehicles
· Jack-of-all-trades preferred.
· Bondable
· Experience in maintenance duties
· Excellent communication skills.
· Lift truck, scissor lift, boom training, work at height and crane certification
· Valid Driver’s License

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
