About Auxesys
Auxesys is a Winnipeg-based marketing, media, and software company serving the U.S. independent wealth management industry. Our clients are some of the most ambitious firms in wealth management, wealth technology, financial media, and private markets. We work with companies that advise wealthy families, build technology for financial advisors, consolidate multi-billion-dollar wealth firms, launch national events, and shape the future of the independent wealth ecosystem. We are not a traditional agency. We are building growth systems for a serious industry. That includes strategy, narrative, websites, content, media, analytics, software, events, and distribution. We help clients turn expertise into attention, attention into trust, and trust into revenue.
Auxesys is still early, but the work is already at a high level. We are engaged with sophisticated clients, telling complex stories, building media products, traveling to major industry events, and creating content in rooms with founders, executives, analysts, investors, advisors, and operators.
The culture is intense, creative, ambitious, and entrepreneurial. We care about craft. We care about taste. We care about speed. We care about whether the work actually moves the business.
This is not a sleepy production role. This is a chance to join a growing company at the moment its content engine becomes central to everything it does. Here is an example of the standard of quality we expect our new hire to produce out of the gates:

The Adventure
This role has real upside. The person we hire will not just be sitting at a desk editing random clips. They will help build the Auxesys Content Engine, a system that powers our own brand and the fractional media house offering we bring to our clients.
That means the work may include:
- Founder-led content
- Executive interviews
- Conference recaps
- Documentary-style client stories
- Short-form social content
- YouTube content
- Podcast clips
- Thought leadership
- Sales enablement assets
- Event media
- Product launch content
- Client campaigns
- Industry explainers
- Behind-the-scenes content
- Experimental formats we have not invented yet
There may also be opportunities for travel.
Auxesys works across the U.S. wealth management ecosystem, and our media work increasingly happens around major conferences, client events, executive interviews, and industry moments. The right person may have the chance to travel internationally, work on high-profile projects, and help capture stories in places far beyond Winnipeg.
We want someone who sees that as exciting. When Auxeys attends events we want to be seen as three things:
- The hardest-working crew at the event
- The crew that produces the highest quality work at the event
- The crew that has the most fun: before, during, and after the event
The Role
We are looking for the best up and coming, modern video editors Winnipeg has to offer. This is not just a technical editing role.We need someone with strong creative judgment, storytelling instincts, musical timing, taste, speed, organization, and ownership.
The right person understands that great editing is not just about assembling clips. It is about rhythm. Energy. Timing. Structure. Silence. Tension. Release. Sound. Motion. Pacing. Emotional build.
You will work closely with our team to turn raw footage, interviews, podcasts, sales calls, screen recordings, founder-led content, client conversations, conference footage, and long-form assets into high-performing content across social, YouTube, websites, ads, sales enablement, and client channels.
Tou should be comfortable creating both polished final assets and repeatable editing systems. We want someone who can help us build templates, formats, workflows, and standards that make the entire content operation stronger over time.
This is a full-time, Winnipeg-based role for someone who wants to build from the inside and grow with the company.
The Critical Requirement: Musical Sensibility
A major part of this role is timing. The playbook that got us this far so far: the spiciest event recap videos this industry has ever seen:

We are looking for someone who understands music, rhythm, pacing, and audio at a deeper level than the average editor. The right candidate should have a strong feel for timing, tempo, cuts, silence, energy, volume, rhythm, and emotional build. They should understand why a cut lands, why a pause matters, why a beat changes the feeling of a clip, and how music can make business content feel alive instead of flat. This does not necessarily mean you need a formal music degree. But you should have real musical instincts. You may have experience with music production, audio engineering, DJing, playing an instrument, performing in bands, scoring, theatre, dance, live production, or editing highly rhythmic content. What matters is that you can hear timing, feel pacing, and use audio as a core part of the edit.We care about:
- Time signatures
- Keys
- Tempo
- Beat matching
- Audio transitions
- Volume control
- Sound design
- Musical tension and release
- The emotional relationship between picture and sound
- Knowing when to cut on the beat, before the beat, or against the beat
- Knowing when silence is stronger than sound
For us, this is close to a must-have.
A technically competent editor without musical timing will likely not be the right fit. We need someone who can make content move, breathe, and land.
What You’ll Do
You will edit short-form and long-form video content for Auxesys and our clients. You will turn raw footage into compelling clips, stories, explainers, ads, educational content, podcast clips, interviews, conference content, documentary-style pieces, and client-facing content.
You will help shape hooks, pacing, structure, captions, b-roll, sound design, music, graphics, and visual flow.
You will repurpose long-form material into multiple short-form assets for platforms like LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. You will use music, timing, silence, transitions, and sound design to make content feel sharper, more emotional, and more watchable.
You will collaborate with founders, strategists, creators, analysts, designers, and clients to understand the goal behind the content, not just the edit request. You will organize project files, manage versions, maintain clean workflows, and help build a repeatable editing system. You will help create reusable templates, editing formats, clip structures, audio treatments, and content packages.
You will bring ideas to the table about how to make content more engaging, clearer, faster to produce, and more effective. You will help us build out the workflows for our on premise production studio, where we plan to produce and bring to market several new video web series.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who combines taste, speed, musicality, ownership, and storytelling ability. You are a video editor, full stop. Not a DOP moonlighting. Not a phone-based reelseditor. You are someone who has lived inside the NLE for at least 4 years. You may be working at an agency, production studio, local company, university, media organization, sports organization, startup, marketing department, or freelancing independently.
You may feel underleveraged in your current role and want the chance to become the first full-time editor inside a growing content engine
.You should be excited by high standards, fast learning, ambitious projects, and the possibility of helping build something much bigger than a local editing job.You should be comfortable with supporting ambitious docu-style projects and multicam interview projects:
