ABOUT US & POSITION SUMMARY: Familiprix Marie‑Claude Cyr is a pharmacist-owned, community-focused pharmacy located in Paquetville, New Brunswick. Our pharmacy provides personalized health services, including prescription dispensing, chronic disease follow-up, vaccinations, travel health support, and health equipment rentals. We pride ourselves on offering exemplary customer care and building long-lasting relationships with our community.
In terms of scope and clinical work, this pharmacy is part of a provincial initiative where pharmacists at select sites can assess and manage a range of conditions, including:
- Hypertension
- Cholesterol
- Diabetes
- COPD and asthma
Pharmacists can also assess and perform point-of-care testing for strep throat, with prescribing authority when appropriate.
DUTIES & REPSONSIBILITIES:
- Provide exemplary customer service
- Verify the accuracy of prescriptions and ensure proper prescription checking
- Review pharmacological records and monitor medication therapy
- Dispense prescribed medications, including opioid substitution services
- Counsel clients on medications, side effects, interactions, and dosages
- Advise clients regarding prescription and over-the-counter medications and health management
- Collaborate effectively with pharmacy technicians
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- A licensed pharmacist in the province of NB and in good standing with the NB College of Pharmacists
- 1–2 years of pharmacy experience (an asset but not required)
- Must be fully bilingual in English and French to effectively communicate with patients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues (written and verbal).
- Good computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong organizational, planning, and communication abilities
- Effective time management and attention to detail
- Team player with good judgment and discretion

- Monday–Wednesday: 8:00 am–6:00 pm
- Thursday–Friday: 8:00 am–8:00 pm

À PROPOS DE NOUS ET DU POSTE :
Familiprix Marie-Claude Cyr est une pharmacie détenue par une pharmacienne, fortement ancrée dans sa communauté, située à Paquetville, au Nouveau-Brunswick. Nous offrons des services de santé personnalisés, incluant la délivrance d’ordonnances, le suivi des maladies chroniques, la vaccination, la santé voyage ainsi que la location d’équipements médicaux.
Au niveau du champ d’exercice, cette pharmacie participe à un projet provincial permettant aux pharmaciens de certains sites d’évaluer et de prendre en charge plusieurs conditions, notamment :
- Hypertension
- Cholestérol
- Diabète
- MPOC et asthme
Les pharmaciens peuvent également évaluer les cas de streptocoque, effectuer des tests rapides (POCT) et prescrire lorsque approprié.
RESPONSABILITÉS:
- Offrir un service à la clientèle de grande qualité
- Vérifier les ordonnances et en assurer la validation
- Analyser les dossiers pharmacologiques et assurer le suivi de la pharmacothérapie
- Délivrer les médicaments prescrits, incluant les traitements de substitution aux opioïdes
- Conseiller les patients sur leurs médicaments (effets secondaires, interactions, posologie)
- Accompagner les patients dans la gestion de leur santé, incluant les médicaments en vente libre
- Collaborer étroitement avec les techniciens en pharmacie
EXIGENCES ET COMPÉTENCES
- Pharmacien(ne) titulaire d’un permis d’exercice au Nouveau-Brunswick et membre en règle de l’Ordre des pharmaciens du Nouveau-Brunswick
- 1 à 2 ans d’expérience (un atout, mais non obligatoire)
- Bilinguisme français/anglais essentiel (oral et écrit)
- Bonnes habiletés informatiques
- Excellentes aptitudes en communication et en service à la clientèle
- Sens de l’organisation, autonomie et rigueur
- Bonne gestion des priorités et souci du détail
- Esprit d’équipe, jugement professionnel et discrétion
