Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing an assigned portfolio of customer accounts while developing new business opportunities within your designated market. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent relationship-building skills, strong organizational abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with existing customers while ensuring customer contact information remains accurate and up to date.
Manage an assigned portfolio of accounts with a focus on growing sales and achieving gross profit objectives.
Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, lead generation, and customer referrals.
Conduct outbound sales activities by phone, email, and in person to promote products, follow up on quotes, and generate new sales.
Respond to inbound sales inquiries and convert opportunities into customer orders.
Prepare customer quotations and proactively follow up to secure business.
Develop and execute weekly sales plans to maximize customer engagement and sales performance.
Identify customer needs and recommend products and solutions that provide value.
Maintain current product knowledge and stay informed of new product offerings and vendor updates.
Negotiate pricing within company guidelines while maintaining profitability.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify new opportunities.
Present product demonstrations and coordinate customer training when required.
Prepare sales orders, reports, forecasts, and other sales-related documentation.
Investigate and resolve customer concerns, including delivery or service-related issues.
Collaborate with branch management and internal departments to achieve sales goals and support marketing initiatives.
Participate in sales meetings, trade shows, customer events, and industry activities as required.
Maintain strong working relationships across all departments and branch locations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in sales, account management, or business development is preferred.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
Comfortable presenting products and conducting customer demonstrations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM/customer management software.
Valid driver's license and the ability to travel throughout the assigned sales territory.
