Under general supervision from the Director of Pricing, the (asset-based) Rates Coordinator will be responsible for creating, issuing and maintaining all Pricing & Accessorial agreements for Customers. Position will also have responsibility for Issuing Transportation Spot Quotes, Maintaining fuel databases, as well as carrier rate quotations.

The successful candidate must be available for the day shift, preferably from 8:30 am to 5:00pm, and when necessary, must fulfill other work shifts as required.

Key responsibilities are:

1. Maintain the Pricing agreements for all clients across all service levels.

2. Issue all new pricing agreements for accounts of $150,000 per year or less and liaise with the Pricing Manager/Director of Pricing on new agreements of larger sizes.

3. Monitor revenue compliance to all new quotes issued.

4. Directly manage the GRI (general rate increase) process monthly, issuing quotes as well as tracking and stating progress for Executive Management.

5. Control and maintain all accessorial charges, review and approve reductions to charges as discussed with Director of Pricing

6. Manage the various fuel programs across the customer base.

7. Assist in the resolution of customer invoice disputes as required.

8. Manage the carrier database in conjunction with the Pricing Manager

9. Data analysis and manipulation using excel is required.

***Candidate MUST come from an asset-based TRUCKING CO. bkgnd vs a BROKERAGE situation***

Requirements include:

· College diploma or university degree. (preferred)

· Experience in an asset-based OTR transportation environment, with preference given to those with Canadian Common Carrier LTL experience.

· Good grasp of Canadian Geography & understanding of various regions within Canada required.

· Excellent knowledge of mathematics, comfort in working with numbers, and a strong grasp of profit and loss required (accounting skills welcomed).

· Good reporting and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly scrutinize documents.

· Competent in multitasking, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to changing priorities.

· Must be able to work independently, and as part of a team.

· Must be proficient in software programs such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook etc.

· AS400 experience desired, but not essential.

· Some speed in numerical and alphabetical keyboarding necessary.
