This isn’t your typical job ad. It’s not meant to be.
We’re building a team that values quality, precision, and doing things the right way—on every project.
We’re hiring a Lead Carpenter who wants to build more than just walls and trim.
Who we are
Greycor Projects is a fast-growing residential renovation company serving the Lower Mainland. We specialize in high-end work—from kitchens and bathrooms to additions, custom millwork, outdoor living spaces, architectural concrete, and detailed finish carpentry. Our clients expect premium results, creative problem-solving, and consistent delivery on schedule and budget.
We operate multiple projects at once using structured, tech-driven systems. Every job is managed through a centralized platform that tracks budgets, cost codes, schedules, daily logs, time, and vendors—keeping everything organized, transparent, and accountable.
Documentation is a core part of how we work. With 360° photos, time-lapse cameras, and image-based daily logs, we don’t rely on memory or debate—we rely on clear records. This protects the team, the client, and the integrity of the work.
Our culture is built around craftsmanship, accountability, and long-term growth. We invest in the right tools, training, and systems because we expect high standards—and we make sure our team has what they need to meet them. This isn’t a revolving door; we’re building a company that lasts, and we’re looking for people who want to be part of that.
What This Role Looks like
You step onto a job site that’s organized. Materials are ready, the scope is clear, and the day has direction. Scheduling is handled through proper systems, with support from our Operations Manager—so you can focus on the work, not chasing information.
The work is hands-on and varied. Projects span full renovations, from structural work to detailed finishing, with a focus on high-quality residential builds. The expectation is simple: deliver work you’re proud to put your name on.
This is a leadership role. You run the site day to day—guiding the crew, setting the pace, and making sure the work meets the expected standard. You stay aligned with the Operations Manager on schedule, scope, and progress, and keep communication clear so the job moves smoothly.
Work doesn’t stall here. You think ahead, keep things lined up, and make sure the crew always has a clear path forward. Progress stays steady because the job is being actively managed, not reacted to.
When issues come up, they’re handled early. Communication is direct, and problems are dealt with properly. Nothing gets ignored or pushed down the line.
There’s a strong focus on productivity. Work moves at a steady pace without cutting corners. No wasted time, no unnecessary rework—just consistent progress and solid results.
Who We're Looking For
- Proven experience in residential renovations. You’ve worked on single-family projects and understand the pace, sequencing, and standards that come with them.
- Strong hands-on experience across multiple disciplines. Framing, forming, finishing, tile, flooring, drywall, cabinetry, decks, millwork—you’ve worked across the range and can deliver solid results.
- Ability to lead a crew. You’ve supervised carpenters, helpers, or apprentices, and know how to keep work moving while maintaining quality. Previous lead or foreman experience is highly valued.
- You take direction well and execute consistently. Not because you can’t think for yourself, but because you understand that running multiple jobs requires alignment and discipline.
- You think ahead and use sound judgment. When something doesn’t look right, you speak up before it becomes a problem.
- Clear and professional communication. You’re able to work effectively with clients, trades, and your own crew.
- You take pride in your output. You work at a steady pace, stay productive, and your time on site translates into real progress.
- You’re motivated to grow. Whether that’s stepping further into leadership, developing a specialty, or improving how jobs are run—you’re not looking for a short-term stop.
- Experience with high-end finish work, millwork, or design-build projects is a strong asset.
Who This Isn’t For
This role isn’t a fit if you need constant direction, prefer unstructured environments, or have trouble staying focused on the work throughout the day.
It also won’t be a good match if working as part of a team is a challenge—whether that’s taking direction, supporting others, or maintaining a consistent professional standard on site.
Accountability matters here, so if you tend to avoid responsibility when things go wrong or shift blame instead of addressing issues directly, this will be a difficult environment to succeed in.
And if your standard is “good enough,” or you’re looking for a role where expectations are flexible, we likely won’t align for long. It’s better to be clear about that now than a few weeks into the role.
