Your future role

You'll play a key role in driving cost productivity and ensuring the financial health of our global Engineering function. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (**Engineering leaders, regional finance teams, and global stakeholders**), coordinate budgeting and reporting activities**, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of maintaining the cost of the global Engineering function (‘Métier’) in line with company objectives**, but also **improving self-servicing capabilities and online access to finance data for the Engineering team
We’ll look to you for:
Coordinating budgeting and monthly reporting activities for the Engineering Function and maintaining associated scorecards
Ensuring the cost of the global Engineering function aligns with company objectives
Driving cost productivity using cost models and related tools
Serving as the domain expert on subcontracting
Acting as the primary finance partner to the Alstom Global Engineering Leader and their staff
Contributing to Alstom’s Delivery Plan (twice a year) for Engineering
Partnering with regions to ensure successful roll-out of company-wide Engineering Finance tools and adherence to related KPIs
Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct

Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Experience or understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and cost management
Knowledge of financial tools and cost productivity models
Familiarity with global financial operations and KPIs
A professional finance certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Bilingualism
Proficiency in French and English is required. Knowledge of a third language is considered an asset when working with our international partners, suppliers, colleagues, and customers. In Quebec, French remains the primary working language of our company.
