Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook/Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in delivering high-quality dishes and maintaining exceptional food standards in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for culinary excellence. This position offers an opportunity to grow within the food industry while contributing to a vibrant hospitality setting.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
Oversee food preparation, handling, and storage in compliance with food safety regulations
Manage food inventory, order supplies as needed, and minimize waste
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety standards
Assist in training new team members on cooking techniques, safety procedures, and service protocols
Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings
Serve as a leader in the kitchen, demonstrating professionalism and fostering teamwork among staff

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant setting
Supervising experience or team management skills preferred
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and handling procedures
Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
Familiarity with restaurant management operations is a plus
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality sector is highly desirable
Demonstrated commitment to high standards of food quality and customer service
