Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will oversee kitchen operations during evening hours, ensuring high-quality food preparation, maintaining food safety standards, and leading the kitchen staff with professionalism. This role offers an opportunity to showcase leadership skills in a dynamic hospitality environment, supporting the restaurant’s commitment to exceptional service and culinary excellence.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff during night shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.
Assist in food preparation, cooking, and plating of menu items to meet presentation and taste expectations.
Manage food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
Oversee food safety practices, including proper storage, temperature control, and cleanliness.
Support restaurant management in maintaining inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed.
Train and mentor team members to uphold service standards and improve culinary skills.
Ensure timely service by managing kitchen operations smoothly during evening hours.
Serve as a leader in the absence of the Executive Chef or Restaurant Manager, handling any operational issues that arise.

Skills

Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service environment.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
Extensive food service experience with a focus on hospitality standards.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with team management skills.
Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper handling procedures.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to serve as an effective leader and team player.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within the food industry is highly desirable.

This position requires a passionate culinary professional committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences while leading a dedicated kitchen team during night hours.

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
