We are seeking a professional, organized, and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our busy automotive repair facility. The ideal candidate is confident, personable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional customer service and supporting shop operations.
As the primary point of contact for our customers, you will play a key role in building trust, coordinating repairs, and ensuring every customer receives a positive service experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assess vehicle service and repair needs.
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
- Prepare estimates and explain repair recommendations in clear, easy-to-understand language.
- Obtain customer approvals and maintain communication throughout the repair process.
- Coordinate workflow between customers, technicians, and parts suppliers.
- Schedule appointments and manage repair orders efficiently.
- Monitor vehicle progress and provide timely updates to customers.
- Review completed repairs and invoices with customers upon vehicle pickup.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and work toward positive resolutions.
- Maintain accurate records, estimates, and service documentation.
- Help achieve shop sales goals while maintaining honesty and integrity in all recommendations.
QualificationsRequired
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Customer Service Representative, or similar customer-facing role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced automotive environment.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred
- Experience in an automotive repair shop, dealership, fleet maintenance environment, or related industry.
- Knowledge of automotive systems, maintenance schedules, and repair procedures.
- Familiarity with shop management software and digital vehicle inspection platforms.
- Experience preparing estimates and explaining repairs to customers.
