Position Description
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator supports the execution of construction projects by managing documentation, coordinating project information, and tracking progress across schedules, materials, subcontractors, and deliverables within the oil & gas, petrochemical, pipeline, and energy industries. This role ensures accurate flow of project data between internal teams, field operations, and external stakeholders. This position will support an ongoing project in Brantford and may be subject to relocation to another project location once concluded.

Primary Responsibilities

Coordinate and maintain project documentation, including contract records, drawings, specifications, and related project files
Track and update material status by comparing purchase orders, deliveries, and received materials
Coordinate procurement activities including subcontractor RFPs and proposal comparisons for review
Review shop drawings and material test reports (MTRs) against client specifications and project requirements
Coordinate and maintain project schedules, including updates for internal tracking and reporting purposes
Track progress of shop and field activities and prepare status summaries for internal and client reporting
Coordinate communication and work sequencing between internal teams and subcontractors
Maintain cost, change, and contract documentation including supporting records for scope changes and project updates
Support preparation of technical documentation related to design changes and client clarifications for review and submission

Education & Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (required)
Valid G driver’s licence

Skills & Experience

1-3 years experience in heavy construction, engineering, or project coordination (required)
Exposure to drawings, specifications, and contract documentation (preferred)
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Experience coordinating schedules, materials, and subcontractors
Experience supporting estimating, change orders, and proposals
Strong documentation control and administrative coordination skills
Familiarity with project tracking
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
