Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The Damage Prevention team is currently looking to add a Crossing Analyst to their dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a team of technical and field SME’s that are committed to provide the necessary support to ensure safe and compliant work around company assets.
This role will aid in managing the administrative elements of the project initiative, which includes verifying encroachment sites, conducting file and agreement research and analysis, supporting the development and implementation of remediation strategies, preparation and issuance of third party consents, and supporting field personnel as required to facilitate the completion and closure of encroachment files.
Responsibilities
- Perform research on all land and crossing-related documentation and agreements to understand the historical background and obligations pertaining to the encroachment on or near the pipeline right-of-way.

Participate in project meeting and encroachment site evaluation meeting to determine optimal mitigation strategies and documentation requirements.

Support the technical SMEs and field representatives during site assessment and evaluations, gathering their feedback to incorporate into the preparation of consent agreements.

Assist in drafting all required consent agreements and, where necessary, coordinate legal review, to help ensure risks are mitigated and company interests are protected.

Coordinate with field representatives to deliver agreements to impacted third parties and facilitate the closing of files once any necessary mitigation is complete. Ensure alignment on mitigation accountabilities and verify the completion of agreed-upon mitigation measures.

Data input, tracking and reporting using company’s information management tools, including SharePoint, Third Party Crossing tool (TPC), Pandell LandWorks, Power BI, etc.

Support third party applications that coincide with the project scope, when required.

Support the reporting and communication of project progress update to leadership.

Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to continuous optimization of processes and tools
Qualifications

4 years of experiences with processing third party requests and surface land contract

Equivalent education and experience may be considered

Must possess strong written and oral English communication skills

Proven working knowledge of facility installations, including utilities, roads, pipelines and powerlines

Working knowledge of Land related agreements

Comprehensive understanding of Canada Energy Regulator, Alberta Energy Regulator and BC Oil and Gas Commission regulations regarding pipelines and damage prevention

Working knowledge technical requirements as it relates to crossings and encroachments

Strong analytical and interpretive skills and demonstrated problem solving skills using sound judgement with an aptitude for research

Solid computer skills, ability to learn customized software in addition to SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite

Strong Customer Service skills (this position interfaces daily with both internal and external stakeholders)

Education and Certifications

Post-secondary education and/or Land Administration certificate program or Professional Land Management (PLM) certificate/diploma
