Position Summary
The Business Development & Sales Growth Manager is responsible for driving profitable sales growth, expanding distribution channels, developing strategic customer relationships, and increasing market penetration throughout Ontario.
This role focuses on generating measurable business results through new customer acquisition, dealer development, project sales, and account growth.
The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing revenue, gross profit, and market share while supporting the long-term growth objectives of Jacob Quality Floor Inc.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development
- Identify and develop new dealer, distributor, retail, builder, contractor, and commercial accounts.
- Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry relationships.
- Expand the company's presence throughout Ontario.
- Develop strategic partnerships that contribute to long-term sales growth.
Sales Growth & Revenue Generation
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Increase sales volume and gross profit across all product categories.
- Identify and pursue project opportunities in residential, commercial, and renovation sectors.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and product presentations.
- Follow up on leads, quotations, and pending opportunities to maximize conversion rates.
Dealer & Channel Development
- Recruit and onboard new dealer accounts.
- Build strong relationships with flooring retailers, Home Hardware locations, builders, contractors, landscapers, and renovation professionals.
- Increase product placement and display opportunities within dealer locations.
- Support dealers with training, merchandising, and promotional programs.
- Assist in the rollout of new product lines.
Account Management
- Maintain regular contact with existing customers.
- Identify opportunities for account growth and increased purchasing activity.
- Resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Project Development
- Identify upcoming construction and renovation projects.
- Build relationships with builders, developers, architects, designers, and project managers.
- Promote company products for specification and project inclusion.
- Track project opportunities through completion.
Sales Reporting & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records.
- Manage and update sales pipeline reports.
- Provide weekly sales activity reports and forecasts.
- Report on customer activity, sales opportunities, and market intelligence.

QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 5 years of business development or sales experience.
- Proven track record of generating new business and increasing sales revenue.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to travel throughout Ontario.
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

Work Environment
- Combination of office, customer visits, and field sales activities.
- Regular travel throughout Ontario.

Important Note
This position is results-driven.
Performance will be evaluated based on measurable sales growth, gross profit contribution, customer acquisition, account development, and overall business impact.
Activity alone (meetings, visits, or reports) will not be considered a substitute for achieving sales objectives.
Pay: $60,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
