Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues in a wide range of machinery to minimize downtime and maintain optimal operational efficiency.
-
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment to ensure reliable and safe operation.
-
Work closely with millwrights, electricians, and fellow technicians to coordinate repairs, upgrades, and installations in a collaborative and efficient manner.

Support mechanical tasks in addition to electrical work so that both types of work can be completed during trips to customer sites.
-
Assist in the installation, configuration, and commissioning of electrical systems and components, including motors, sensors, and control panels, to enhance machine functionality.
-
Interpret and use mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques to identify and correct faults.

-
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all work performed, including repairs, inspections, test results, and maintenance schedules.
-
Ensure all work complies with safety protocols, industry standards, and company regulations, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and your teammates.
-
Provide guidance, support, and on-the-job training to junior technicians or team members, sharing expertise in both electrical and mechanical systems.
-
Drive a company vehicle safely between sites and represent the company professionally at customer locations.
-
Communicate clearly with colleagues and, when required, with customers to explain issues, proposed solutions, and work performed.
Essential Skills
-
Proven experience as an electrical technician with strong experience in mechanical systems, with a minimum of 5 years of experience, including at least a couple of years of experience in Canada.
-
Ability to work as a mechanically and electrically capable technician who can complete both electrical and mechanical tasks during site visits.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing priorities and deadlines.

Customer-focused mindset with the ability to represent the company professionally at client sites.
Why Work Here?
You join a smaller, family-run organization that offers a supportive and close-knit culture with plenty of steady work and long-term stability. You benefit from medical and dental coverage, as well as the ability to use a company vehicle for travel between sites, which you can take home to reduce commuting time. You enjoy a high degree of independence in how you organize your work, while still having the backing of an experienced team. You also gain access to opportunities for professional growth, including the ability to work with tickets that can be signed off by qualified personnel, helping you advance your skills and career.
Work Environment
You work primarily in the field, traveling between customer sites using a company vehicle, and you may take the vehicle home to avoid unnecessary trips back and forth. You collaborate closely with a dedicated team of approximately 5–7 millwrights and electricians, operating in a hands-on, industrial environment focused on machinery performance and reliability. The role involves both electrical and mechanical work, using hand tools, test equipment, and field service tools to install, maintain, and repair equipment. You operate within established safety protocols and company procedures, often working independently while staying in regular communication with your team.
