Job Description:

ProVolve Power Technologies is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Services Journeyman Electrician / Power System Electrician to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on field service support for LV/MV/HV electrical systems, including power cable terminations, fiber terminations, electrical wiring, and construction activities. The successful candidate will also gain hands-on experience in HV maintenance and commissioning testing, with guidance and support from ProVolve.

Responsibilities:

Perform LV/MV/HV power cable terminations.
Perform fiber optic terminations.
Carry out electrical wiring and installations for various construction projects.
Assist in HV maintenance and commissioning testing, including equipment such as switchgear, transformers, and breakers.
Operate testing and diagnostic equipment (e.g., meggers, hipot testers, CT analyzers, VLF units, Doble equipment).
Conduct troubleshooting of electrical systems and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
Ensure compliance with electrical isolation and safe work procedures.
Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all company and project safety protocols.
Assist with job preparation, planning, and execution to meet project deadlines.
Produce detailed and accurate test and maintenance reports.

Qualifications:

Red Seal Electrician certification or Power System Electrician certification.
Proficiency in LV/MV/HV electrical systems and fiber optic terminations.
5+ years of relevant electrical field experience.
Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and procedures.
Ability to travel and work flexible schedules, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across Western Canada (up to 80%).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
