Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Accounting Clerk

Full-Time, Permanent

Ken Sargent GMC Buick is looking for an organized and dependable Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Accounting Clerk to join our team.

We are a family-oriented dealership that values honesty, teamwork and treating our customers and employees with respect. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, staying organized and contributing to a busy, supportive workplace.

Key Responsibilities

Process accounts payable invoices and payments
Record and reconcile accounts receivable transactions
Follow up on outstanding customer and vendor accounts
Match invoices, purchase orders and supporting documents
Prepare deposits and post payments accurately
Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies
Maintain organized financial records and filing systems
Assist with month-end accounting duties
Respond to vendor, customer and internal accounting inquiries
Provide additional administrative and accounting support as required

Qualifications

Previous accounts payable, accounts receivable or bookkeeping experience
Automotive dealership accounting experience is preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Comfortable working with accounting software and Microsoft Office
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Professional, dependable and able to maintain confidentiality
