Krown London South is looking for a FULL-TIME - Automotive Team Lead now through
December 19, 2026. This role will have the strong potential of going permanent full-time after December. Your love of cars, being an active part of a team and delivering the highest level of customer service will ensure your success at Krown London South.
Current Hours - Monday - Friday 7:45 am - 4:45 pm
Starting September 1, 2026 - Monday - Friday 7:45 am - 4:45 pm and Saturday's 7 am - 12 noon. There will be over-time after 44 hours.

The Role
This is a hands-on position focused on exceptional customer service. As the primary liaison between the shop floor and our customers, you will provide leadership and direction to our team. You will lead by example—balancing shop oversight with active participation in daily operations to ensure the highest quality standards and consistent customer satisfaction.
Job description:
Core Responsibilities
- Manage Shop Workflow: Lead daily vehicle scheduling and assign shop floor roles (prepping, drilling, spraying, washing) to maximize assembly line efficiency.
- Quality Assurance Auditing: Inspect vehicles post-application to ensure comprehensive coverage of rocker panels, frame sections, and internal access points. Ensure all drilled access holes are properly plugged and greased.
- Train & Coach Crew: Onboard new hires and cross-train existing technicians on proper spray rod techniques, vehicle detailing, and specialized equipment handling.
- Maintain Safety Standards: Enforce mandatory PPE usage (safety footwear, eye/breathing protection) and audit hoist operations to ensure zero vehicle or workplace safety incidents.
- Equipment & Inventory Upkeep: Oversee the daily maintenance of high-pressure spray guns, pumps, lifts, and wash station degreasers. Monitor inventory levels of Krown product and shop consumables.
- Krown Vehicle Process: Drive company and customer vehicles, prepare vehicles for spray process, Krown spray application, wash vehicle and return to customer
- Warranties and Customer Complaints: Along with Customer Service/Receptionist administer Krown warranties: Evaluate vehicle condition and service history against Krown warranty criteria. Process new warranty registrations and if needed send to Head Office.
- Customer & Front-Counter Support: Greet customers, confidently explain the Krown application process, manage expectations during peak season delays, and handle service escalations professionally. Back-up: answering phones, booking appointments, creating invoices, payment of services.
- Other: Tasks and special projects as assigned
Health & Safety
- Participate in workplace safety, environmentally sound and healthy behaviors and objectives at all times in support of Krown’s Health and Safety Policy/ Programs and best practices
- Ensure that standards for safe working conditions are observed at all times
Qualifications
- Education: Post-Secondary Education with an automotive/mechanical focus.
- Experience: 3–5 years in a supervisory or lead position; solid technical and hands-on mechanical ability for automotive and heavy equipment.
- Leadership Skills: Employee-focused with effective team building, coaching, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to Hire new employees
- Business Acumen: Proven business and financial expertise; strong negotiation and organizational skills.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required.
- Adaptability: Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
