Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Carpenter Helper to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction projects. The ideal candidate will assist skilled carpenters with a variety of tasks, supporting the successful completion of residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Candidates with a strong work ethic and interest in building trades are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Assist carpenters with measuring, cutting, and assembling materials using hand tools and power tools
Support in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
Help with concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry work as needed
Participate in cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying, and siding projects
Aid in roofing, siding, and drywall work including caulking and finishing touches
Support in electrical and plumbing tasks under supervision when required
Perform heavy lifting and material handling to ensure smooth workflow on-site
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times

Requirements

Prior handyman or construction experience is a plus; familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques preferred
Ability to read schematics, blueprints, or schematics is advantageous
Strong work ethic with the willingness to learn new skills in carpentry and construction trades
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during shifts
Basic knowledge of woodworking, cabinetry, or masonry is beneficial but not mandatory
Valid driver’s license is preferred for travel between job sites
Reliable transportation to ensure punctuality for scheduled shifts

This Carpenter Helper position provides valuable industry experience within a supportive team environment. Candidates who demonstrate enthusiasm for construction work and a commitment to safety will find this role rewarding as they develop their skills across multiple trades within the building industry.

Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
