RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) works in the dermatology department.
- A strong clinical background is required with solid clinical skills as you will be involved with direct patient care, education and helping patients achieve their aesthetic and wellness goals.
- You would be involved with direct patient care, assessment, testing, education, assisting with procedures, and performing delegated medical and elective procedures, lasers and injections.
- Experience in aesthetic lasers and skin care an asset.
- Candidates must demonstrate excellent professional and interpersonal skills, communication both verbal and written, with high customer service skills and be a strong team player.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current BCLS or CPR-C equivalent certification required
- Current membership with the RPNAO
- Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario required
- Previous aesthetic experience is an asset
- Demonstrated expertise in aesthetic dermatology and lasers is an asset
- Collaboration and communication skills with patients and the health care team
- Ability to function effectively in the clinical setting working with the interdisciplinary team
- Strong organizational, detail-oriented, time management skills
- Focus on excellence in patient care and safety
- Flexibility, reliability and dependability
- Excellent attendance record
