The Multi-Unit Floating Supervisor is a vital, multi-functional leadership role dedicated to ensuring seamless operational success across all Green Rebel departments. As a versatile "floater," you are the primary solution for emergency coverage and schedule gaps, maintaining total flexibility to pivot between catering and retail environments as business needs dictate. Whether you are executing high-volume catering builds, leading a fast-paced retail lunch service, or managing inventory and deliveries, your focus remains on upholding rigorous quality standards. Ultimately, you serve as a supportive team champion who ensures every guest receives wholesome, real ingredients through consistent hospitality and precise execution.
Duties & Responsibilities
Adaptable Coverage: Demonstrate total flexibility to be reassigned across departments at any time during the day or week, to provide emergency coverage for scheduling shortages or sudden business needs. Comes in with a supportive attitude to help the team succeed for the day!
Cross-Departmental Support: Act as a team player by cross-training in various sections to step in whenever department coverage is needed. This includes team members, store managers, kitchen members, and catering roles.
Communication: Maintain clear communication with the owner, human resources, and the catering manager to ensure successful coverage planning, and takes initiative or asks for help if unclear on the coverage requirements for the day.
Catering: Responsible for supporting and executing all catering orders, including the preparation of platters, sandwiches, wraps, brewed coffee/tea, and baked goods. Supports the catering manager with prep and order set-up for the following day.
Retail Service: Work at Green Rebel locations during lunch services to prepare gourmet salads, sandwiches, bowls, and smoothies. Ensure food stations are fully stocked and set up on time for service periods and follows proper closing procedures.
Maintain Build Standards: Prepare, cut, and portion ingredients accurately to meet specific company recipe standards and catering customizations for all departments.
Inventory Management & Ordering: Complete daily inventory counts and ordering from suppliers when covering for a role with these responsibilities.
Quality Control: Maintain high-quality standards for all products, ensuring speed and accuracy for both catering and retail guests. Consistently checks ingredient quality with proper dating of best before dates and first in, first out procedures.
Hospitality: Provide consistent, high-quality hospitality by interacting with guests and enthusiastically promoting hand-crafted products.
Catering Deliveries: Assist with catering set-ups and on-foot catering deliveries around assigned working locations. Organizes delivery drop times when covering for location managers.
Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment, reporting any health and safety issues to management. Holds themselves and all team members accountable to Green Rebel policies, standards, and procedures; coaches appropriately as needed.
Qualifications
- Available to be scheduled Monday through Friday between 6am to 7:30pm (6 to 8-hour shifts) as needed for coverage.
- Available for on-call weekend shifts as needed in the event catering orders are booked.
- Valid Food Handler’s Certificate.
- Passion for helping others with coverage when needed to ensure the success of the business day.
- Fluent speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- Previous kitchen or line cook experience.
- Previous leadership experience is a plus.
- Hard working attitude who cares for their surrounding team members.
- Committed to meeting guest’s needs with speed, accuracy, and quality.
- Ability to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability fits within the needs of the position.
Working Conditions

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds (22.7 Kg).
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Walking between locations within a 3-block radius and for on-food catering deliveries.
Additional Information
- Weekly Hours: 30 hours per week.
- Schedule: 5 shifts per week.
- Typical Shift: Monday through Friday between 6am to 7:30pm (6 to 8-hour shifts).
- On-Call: Available on-call weekend shift in the event catering orders are booked (scheduled and confirmed in advance).
