About the City of St. Albert

Job Details

The City of St. Albert is recruiting an individual to join our Recreation and Parks department as a Caretaker. Reporting to the Supervisor, Recreation Infrastructure, this position will be responsible for providing a full range of cleaning services at Recreation & Parks Department operated facilities to ensure patrons and employees have a clean environment and to ensure event/booking requirements are met in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Minimum Grade 10 education is required with one year of custodial/commercial cleaning experience.
Must have the ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Must be familiar with OHS standards with health/safety being a major priority.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at multi-tasking.
To be successful, candidates must have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
WHMIS would be an asset.

Hours of Work

Caretakers are needed for a variety of shifts 7 days per week, which could include:

Compensation

The wage ranges from $19.79 - $22.87 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
Candidates not meeting the full qualifications may be considered for a development opportunity at a lower classification and salary.
