Maintenance Technician
Location: London, Aylmer, Tillsonburg (Head Office in London, ON)

Escalade Property Management is a growing property management company committed to providing safe, clean, and well-maintained communities for our residents. We currently manage five apartment buildings across Aylmer and Tillsonburg, with our head office located in London, Ontario. As our company continues to grow, we are also developing new properties in Ingersoll and have recently acquired land for future developments in Strathroy and Stratford.
We are looking for a motivated, dependable, and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our growing team.
Position Summary
This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and can work independently. You'll be responsible for maintaining our apartment buildings, identifying repairs before they become issues, and ensuring our properties remain clean, safe, and attractive for our tenants.
No two days are the same, so we're looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and enjoys variety in their work.
Responsibilities
- Complete maintenance requests in occupied apartments.
- Perform drywall repairs, patching, mudding, sanding, and painting.
- Troubleshoot and complete basic plumbing repairs.
- Perform basic electrical repairs and fixture replacements.
- Complete general handyman tasks and preventative maintenance.
- Regularly inspect all properties and identify repairs or improvements that enhance the appearance and functionality of the buildings.
- Coordinate repairs with Building Managers and communicate professionally with tenants when entering suites.
- Plan and organize your weekly schedule across multiple properties.
- Order and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and materials.
- Complete required paperwork, maintenance logs, and work orders accurately.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and professionally.
- Assist with unit turnovers and apartment renovations as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in apartment or residential property maintenance is considered a strong asset.
- Solid drywall repair skills.
- Working knowledge of plumbing and basic electrical repairs.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and customer-service focused while maintaining professionalism.
- Physically capable of lifting, climbing ladders, and performing manual labour.
- Valid Ontario driver's licence with reliable transportation.
- Must supply your own hand tools.
