As our GTA / SW ON Outside Sales Representative, you will:
- Present and promote our company’s software solutions to construction industry professionals including engineers, Designers and Architects); coverage would include the United States.
- Plan and execute in-person and virtual calls, which may range from a Lunch and Learn to a one-on-one meeting to introduce, train or update on our company’s innovative tools and services; engaging specifiers to build projects utilizing ATS spec tools.
- Build projects/specs for specifiers to increase ATS market share
- Achieve specific and clear targets for calls, specs and drawings
- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key clients who are assigned to the program/project;
- Assist with project initiation, including tracking projects, finding key players, conducting take-offs and product pitches, and assisting the client in delivering their projects
- Refine requirements using critical evaluation techniques, consultative meetings, negotiations, systems knowledge, and experience;
- Work with multi-faceted teams to meet customer requirements, and to provide the most up to date product information to industry professionals;
- Manage the overall scope of the program/project, escalating to project managers and owners when material deviations from this are identified;
- Facilitate training and knowledge transfer for new project resources, as needed;
- Use Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM) for reporting, maintaining and expanding customer base;
- Identify and track down major industry players to have them use our tools and services.
- Be prepared to aid in special projects as needed and/or collaborate within the Market Development team
As our GTA / SW ON Sales Representative, you must have:
- The Right Foundation: A blend of sales drive and industry curiosity. We are looking for candidates who possess at least one of the following (and ideally both):
- Prior professional sales experience (ideally in a junior or territory-facing capacity).
- Experience or strong familiarity within the plumbing industry. (Note: If you have great sales skills but don't know plumbing, or know plumbing inside-out but are new to sales, we will train you on the missing piece!)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently present to and influence industry professionals.
- Superior organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize daily outreach, manage territory schedules, and handle multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to quickly build rapport and maintain relationships both virtually and in person.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high capacity to quickly learn new software, technical concepts, and processes.
- An adaptable, flexible, and "hungry" mindset, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a strong drive to hit targets.
- Technology and internet savviness (experience with CRMs is a major asset).
- A post-secondary degree/diploma in a related field, or equivalent practical industry experience.
