Nous recherchons un Administrateur systèmes, avec une forte spécialisation en gestion de SQL Server, afin de soutenir et maintenir notre infrastructure TI d’entreprise. Il ne s’agit pas d’un poste d’administrateur de bases de données (DBA), mais le candidat doit posséder une expérience pratique en mise en place, optimisation et exploitation de SQL Server, en plus d’une solide expertise en environnements Windows et en virtualisation.
La personne retenue travaillera en étroite collaboration avec les équipes Infrastructure, Sécurité et Intégration, et jouera un rôle clé dans la croissance continue de Contrans, notamment par acquisitions.
Responsabilités principalesInfrastructure et administration des systèmes
- Administration et support des infrastructures sur site et infonuagiques, incluant :
- Environnements Windows Server
- Plateformes de virtualisation VMware
- Systèmes de stockage d’entreprise
- Surveillance de la santé et de la performance des systèmes; identification des besoins en ressources et ajustement des ressources de calcul, de mémoire et de stockage au besoin
- Administration et support de l’environnement Microsoft 365, incluant l’implantation de nouveaux produits, fonctionnalités et services
- Analyse et résolution des incidents d’infrastructure afin de maintenir la stabilité, la performance et la disponibilité des systèmes
- Agir comme point d’escalade du centre d’assistance pour les enjeux techniques avancés
- Déploiement et support de nouveaux outils TI et applicatifs
- Rédaction et maintien de la documentation technique, des politiques et des procédures
Gestion de SQL Server (volet non‑DBA)
- Installation, configuration et maintenance de Microsoft SQL Server selon les meilleures pratiques
- Gestion de l’utilisation des ressources SQL Server, incluant :
- Allocation du CPU et de la mémoire
- Organisation du stockage et planification de la croissance des fichiers
- Exécution de tâches SQL de base, telles que :
- L’exécution et la validation de requêtes simples
- Le soutien à l’organisation des tables et à la revue des structures de données
- Configuration et support de SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Support et maintien de la réplication SQL (surveillance, validation et dépannage)
- Collaboration avec les équipes applicatives afin d’assurer des environnements SQL stables, performants et bien entretenus
- Escalade des enjeux complexes de conception ou de performance vers des ressources senior, au besoin
Exigences
- Bilinguisme (anglais et français) – oral et écrit
- Expérience solide en administration de Windows Server 2016 à 2022
- Expérience avec VMware versions 6.7 à 7.0
- Expérience pratique en administration de Microsoft SQL Server (non‑DBA) :
- Installation, configuration et maintenance
- Expérience avec SSRS et la réplication
- Bonne compréhension des concepts réseau fondamentaux, incluant LAN, WAN et pare‑feu
- Expérience avec :
- Systèmes de billetterie (ticketing)
- Plateformes de gestion des vulnérabilités de sécurité
- Excellentes habiletés de communication, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit
- Capacité à travailler de façon autonome tout en collaborant efficacement au sein d’une équipe
- Excellentes compétences en documentation et approche axée sur les processus

We are seeking a Systems Administrator with a strong focus on SQL Server management to support and maintain our enterprise infrastructure. This role is not a DBA position, but requires hands‑on experience with SQL Server setup, optimization, and operational best practices alongside traditional Windows and virtualization administration.
The successful candidate will work closely with infrastructure, security, and integration teams, and will play a key role as Contrans continues to grow through acquisitions.
Key responsibilities.
- Infrastructure & Systems Administration
- Administration and support of on‑premises and cloud infrastructure, including:
- Windows Server environments
- VMware virtualization platforms
- Enterprise storage systems
- Monitor system health and performance; identify resource requirements and resize or reallocate compute, memory, and storage resources as required
- Administer and support the Microsoft 365 environment, including implementation of new products, features, and services
- Analyze and resolve infrastructure issues to maintain stability, performance, and availability
- Act as escalation point from the helpdesk for advanced technical issues
- Implement and support new IT and business tools within the infrastructure
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, policies, and procedures
SQL Server Management (Non‑DBA Focus)
- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server in line with best‑practice standards
- Manage SQL Server resource utilization, including:
- CPU and memory allocation
- Storage layout and file growth planning
- Perform basic SQL tasks such as:
- Running and validating small queries
- Assisting with table organization and data structure reviews
- Configure and support SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Support and maintain SQL replication (monitoring, validation, and troubleshooting)
- Partner with application teams to ensure SQL environments are stable, performant, and properly maintained
- Escalate complex database design or performance issues to senior resources when required

Requirements
