Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Coordinator to support purchasing and project management activities across multiple projects. The successful candidate will assist with procurement processes, project planning, scheduling, budget tracking, vendor coordination, and administrative support to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

This role is ideal for an organized professional looking to build a career in project management, procurement, and business operations and working in the Lethbridge County.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination

· Support Project Manager with planning, coordinating, and executing projects.

· Monitor project schedules, timelines, and deliverables.

· Track project progress and prepare status reports.

· Coordinate project meetings, agendas, and meeting minutes.

· Assist with budget monitoring and cost tracking.

· Maintain project documentation and records.

· Monitor project risks, issues, and action items.

· Maintain project files, drawings, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.

· Assist with project closeout and turnover documentation.

Purchasing & Procurement

· Assist with purchasing with paperwork, process, and tracking purchase orders.

· Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations.

· Coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, and services.

· Monitor order status, lead times, and delivery schedules.

· Liaise with vendors and suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery requirements.

· Assist with purchasing on procurement records and supplier databases.

· Ensure purchasing activities align with project schedules and budgets.

Contract & Site Administration

· Assist with contract administration and document control.

· Assist with subcontractor and supplier coordination.

· Track changes, site instructions, and project correspondence.

· Coordinate permits, inspections, and required project documentation.

· Ensure compliance with company policies and safety requirements.

Budget & Reporting

· Assist with cost tracking and budget monitoring.

· Prepare reports on project progress and purchasing activities.

· Support invoice review and reconciliation.

· Identify and report schedule or cost-related issues.

· Assist project teams with on-site Quality Control compliance.

Qualifications

Required

Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement. (Will accept equivalent work experience instead of the diploma or degree).
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
Serve as a secondary point of contact for purchasing activities, providing coverage during planned and unplanned absences.

Preferred

1-3 years of experience in construction, project coordination, purchasing, or administration.
Experience reading construction drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with project management software and document control systems.
Knowledge of construction processes and procurement procedures
