What we’re looking for

The Senior Accountant will bring expertise, innovation, and passion our growing organization. Reporting to our Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Accountant plays a key role in managing the day-to-day accounting responsibilities for both Cudmore Group and our retail brands. Our Senior Accountant thrives in small-to medium-sized businesses and enjoys wearing multiple hats.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

Run biweekly payroll.
Prepare and review the full-cycle accounting activities, including Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger.
Assist in the preparation and review of monthly and year-end financial reporting.
File monthly GST & HST returns.
Perform accounting reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
Support cash flow management, budgeting and forecasting processes.
Assist with inventory accounting and Fixed Asset tracking.
Support management with financial analysis and reporting.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in small-to medium-sized enterprises.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Expert at running payroll.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience in retail sales is an asset.
The ideal candidate must be practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
