Who We Are
Pop-A-Lock Canada is growing fast and so can your career! We are currently the only North American network of locksmith security professionals. Within Canada, Pop-A-Lock currently operates in 28 markets across British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, and the Maritimes. We are locally-owned, Canadian locksmith businesses, delivering a full range of services spanning 3 key areas – Commercial, Automotive and Residential. Pop-A-Lock is a full service mobile Locksmith.

We are expanding into York Region and looking for an experienced locksmith to join our team. If you are looking for a job that provides independence, variety and the opportunity for career growth and supervisory potential, this is the position and company for you.

Competitive Pay: $30-$40/hr base (commensurate with level of experience) plus overtime/on-call premium when required.

What You'll Do

Install, repair, and service mechanical locks, keys, and door hardware (closers, exit devices, hinges). Work with electronic access control devices (keypads, card readers, electric strikes, magnetic locks).
Troubleshoot and maintain automatic door operators and related integrated security systems.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, providing expert solutions.
Deliver excellent customer service and security recommendations.

Who We're Looking For

Locksmiths & Door Technicians with experience in commercial, residential or automotive locksmithing.
Junior Technicians with strong mechanical aptitude, eager to learn. Trades background in electrical work, data wiring, carpentry, glazing, or auto mechanics are a plus!

Must-Haves

Ability to work with various manual and power tools & equipment.
Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and follow up.
Valid Ontario G-Level driver’s license (with a clean driving record)
Trustworthy, detail-oriented, and customer-focused. Clean criminal background check.
Willingness to do occasional after-hours urgent/emergency work, if required
Live in York Region or surrounding areas.
Post secondary education in a related technical field is a plus!
