Job Overview

Power the mines that power the world. We are looking for a Fly-In-Fly-Out Underground Field Service Technician to join our team and support our work at Red Lake. Shift: 14x14
Allowances: Additional premiums and allowances are associated with this position due to location
Safety Sensitive: Yes- drug & alcohol testing, physical demand fit testing, RCMP criminal record check and submission of 5-year provincial driving record will be required
Travel: 100%
Relocation: This position offers relocation. International candidates are encouraged to apply. We welcome applications from qualified Heavy Equipment Technicians across Canada and internationally. Candidates must meet the requirements to work in Canada, and employer support may be available for the right applicant.

What You’ll Do:

Represent Komatsu and support U/G mining equipment through a rotational schedule
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair underground mining equipment
Perform maintenance, service, and repair on multiple equipment at our client’s operations
Commission new equipment, including pre-delivery inspections and on-site startup
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to resolve recurring issues
Support customers with technical expertise and recommend improvements
Complete detailed service reports and documentation
Collaborate with engineering and technical teams
Mentor junior technicians and support customer teams
Maintain a strong safety-first mindset in all work

What You’ll Bring:

Valid 421A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification required(Red Seal is an asset)
Experience with underground mining equipment is considered an asset
Solid understanding of mechanical and machine control systems, with the ability to apply it in the field
Strong problem-solving skills with a results-driven mindset
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and accountability
Strong communication and organizational skills
Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working independently on customer sites
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted
No restrictions for accessing mine sites
Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel and work overtime as required
